It seems to me the first 2 paragraphs might be contradictory.
"Religion", (Judaism is not a religion...refer to the brilliant explanation on this matter by the great Samson Raphael Hirsch), even though recognizes human limits, per-se "thrownness" it is precisely directed to emphasize the contrary of limits...being infinitude one of the most obvious foundations of the nature of God our creator.
As a whole, not that there aren't important issues to salvage, and it is proper to state they can be perfectly unravelled through the times within the frame of limits within the unlimited, secularism, empowerment, modernity without "limits" unheld fast by the unmovable Ultimate Being, is much like a bunch of kites flying around without a string attaching them to the ground.
Heidegger, Foucault, Kant, Nietzsche, were marvelous malabarists of pure intellectual gymnastics, some very aesthetic and self satisfactory highhanded nuances of philosophy. But in the true nature of dramas history, they were alone, loners in their journey to escape ultimate responsibility.
I wonder about a life lived without ever engaging in the mental gymnastics of these philosophers, in contrast to a life unpermeated by the drama of the Bible and the men and women that unravel their humanity, continuity and historical movement within its limits in reference to an unlimited Creator with a conscience, even though He being outside our possibilities to fully understanding Him, nevertheless immersed with us in the fate of both limitless and infinitude. A God even though unseen, constantly revealing, not just to the individual but to its chosen Nation and hence to the rest of the nations by complement.
Transcendence and immanence coexist, and a finitude in the terms of methodical atheism, for a moment, could spell you with its "brilliance" but it is so convoluted with its self importance that it ignores the Ultimate Being that created this whole reality we perceive. As time passes they become like all other children's books full of dust and mold that you sneeze when you open them, completely irrelevant...
Torah remains undisputed and through its practice, we finite individuals and Israel as a nation partake in the gift of God's Being, becoming and eternity..
